M'Chigeeng First Nation Education Department

Who is Responsible for My Education?

The Teachers who spend hours preparing the lessons, writing tests and marking my stuff.

The government who tells the teachers what they are supposed to teach me to prepare me for the future.

My parents who brought me into this world and do the best they can for me.

The school counsellors who try to make me understand why it is important to attend class and pay attention to what goes on.

These people all share some responsibility for my education; but I am the most responsible for what I choose to learn.

I am the only one who has the choice of what to do with the skills and knowledge these people have given me.

If I do not succeed I only have one person to blame.  I must blame myself, because it is all within my grasp, should I choose to reach out and take what is mine.

Who is responsible for my Education?

 I AM!
